What we collect
Your name, email, and company name when you sign up. If you connect a Google account, we store your Google OAuth refresh token (encrypted) and pull Google Ads and Google Analytics 4 reporting data on your behalf. If you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe processes your payment details — Position Eleven never sees or stores your card number.
What we access from Google, and why
When you connect your Google account you are asked for two permissions. We request the minimum needed for the product to work, and nothing beyond them:
- Google Ads (
adwords) — to read campaign, cost, click and landing-page performance so we can produce your scorecard, and to apply changes you explicitly approve in Ads Manager. Nothing is ever changed without you confirming that specific change. - Google Analytics, read-only (
analytics.readonly) — to read session, engagement and conversion-event data for the properties you select, so it can be joined to your ad spend per landing page. This permission is read-only; we cannot modify your Analytics data.
You choose which Ads account and which Analytics property we read. We do not access other Google services, your email, your files or your contacts.
How we use it
To show you your own advertising, analytics and search data, to produce the reports you ask for, to let you (or the Ask Eleven assistant) propose changes to your own Google Ads account, and to email you about your account — welcome emails, password resets, billing and any scheduled reports you have switched on.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.
Limited Use of Google user data
Position Eleven's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, data obtained through Google APIs is:
- used only to provide and improve the features you can see in Position Eleven;
- never transferred to others except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with your notice;
- never used for advertising purposes, and never sold;
- never used to develop, improve or train generalised artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
The Ask Eleven assistant sends the question you type, plus the specific report data needed to answer it, to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. That processing happens solely to return your answer. It is not used to train any model, and no human reviews it.
Third parties
- Google — the source of your Ads, Analytics and Search Console data, under Google's API terms.
- Anthropic (Claude) — processes Ask Eleven requests only, as described above, and only if you use that feature.
- Stripe — processes payments. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.
How long we keep it
Report snapshots are retained while your account is open, because the value of the product is the trend over time. Your Google refresh token is kept only while your account is connected and is destroyed the moment you disconnect. If you close your account we delete your data within 30 days, except anything we are legally required to retain (billing records, typically six years).
Your data, your control
You can disconnect your Google account at any time from Settings — this immediately revokes our access and destroys the stored token. You can also revoke Position Eleven's access directly from your Google Account permissions page.
To request a copy of your data, or its deletion, email hello@positioneleven.com and we will action it within 30 days.
